Emily is a Vermont born, California transplant.
An artist, watercolor paint maker, and contributor to Apartment Therapy, Emily enjoys all things creative. In her free time, you’ll find her at home with her cat Lorelei planning her next road trip. Having succeeded at being a blog-less blogger since 2013, Emily has decided to amend that and now utilizes this space to write about all things relating to well-considered interiors and travel.
In the past five years, she and her partner Max have lived in seven cities and two countries. Some people like to vacation, Emily likes to pack up and move. Whether a stone farmhouse in the hills of Western Massachusetts, a Boston brownstone, or a Grenadine island villa, Emily has made each adventure her home.
After a quick stint in San Francisco, Emily now lives in an A-frame tucked amongst the coastal California redwoods.
Emily has collaborated with brands such as Sonos, Wayfair, Leesa, Umbra, Cuyana, and west elm. Her interiors have been featured on Design Sponge, Apartment Therapy, Front & Main, and in the book, Ditch the City and Go Country: How to Master the Art of Rural Life From a Former City Dweller. Her photography has been featured on Dwell, Apartment Therapy, Cup of Jo, Elle Decoration: South Africa, Reading My Tea Leaves, SF Girl By Bay, and in the book, Wonder Plants.
